Benchmarking Service

Melbourne Dec 4th 2008 Constraint Technologies (CTI) has commenced a new benchmarking service for Crew Pairing and Rostering. This service is applicable to airlines, road and rail; passenger and freight.

The basic service is free-of-charge, with additional services available by negotiation.

CTI takes customer data and create pairings and rosters based on current operating preferences. These can be compared with the current pairings and rosters (be they manual or computerized). CTI use their own advance analysis tool to identify and quantify differences.

Potential benefits include:

  • Clarification of rules and operating procedures (i.e. are the rules being applied correctly in the current pairing and roster building)

  • Reduction in manpower

  • Fairer allocation

  • Reduction in overtime costs

  • Reduction in non-productive time

CTI have applied their technology to problems in airlines, rail freight and road haulage with excellent results. Savings of up to 15% have been identified in terms of reduced headcount, overtime payments, allowances and accommodation.
